This drop is often a result of the increased calcium requirements to support milk production for her puppies, which depletes her calcium stores the body - unless she is adequately provided with the correct supplements. The risk begins to reduce from day 40 post-whelp as puppies are weaned off mum's milk.

Suggested amount & feeding: 2 capsules per day, per 5kg of bodyweight. Daily amounts should be split into 2 or 3 portions to ensure round-the-clock Calcium levels. Should your bitch need, one additional half amount (1 capsule per 5kg of bodyweight) can be given be given per day. Many females go off their food after birth, and even more girls take a dislike to foul tasting liquids being syringed into their already dry mouth - that's why our plant-based capsules can easily be wrapped in something tasty, or simply pulled apart and the contents mixed with anything from water, to yoghurt or any food!
Warnings: You should always take time to familiarise yourself with Eclampsia symptoms before whelp, and immediately seek veterinary care should you be concerned. We have spent a long time developing this CNC Just Calcium Supplement so it can be given in any way that suits your girl.
Each capsule is 500mg of Calcium Citrate, providing 105mg of Elemental Calcium, with just brown rice flour and a plant capsule shell. There are no synthetic additives in our CNC Just Calcium because E-numbers and sugars will not help milk production and in fact can cause hyperglycemia! None of those here!
